Important Updates for Amityville Soccer Club Travel Teams - League Year 2023/2024 (Tryouts, Player Registration and Team Formation Process)
Dear Coaches, Parents and Professional Trainers of the Amityville Soccer Club,
The following is informing regarding our upcoming player registration period and the new process we will be implementing for the Amityville Soccer Club League Year 2023/2024 (Fall 2023 and Winter/Spring 2024 seasons). Please review the following information carefully.
1. Travel Team Tryouts: Travel team tryouts will be held starting the week of June 4, 2023. In most cases we anticipate current travel players to be invited back to participate in our travel program. Within age groups where multiple teams exist, players may be moved from one team to another based upon the club’s assessment of the best interest of the team and player.
2. Player Registration:
a. The Amityville Soccer Clubs open registration period will now take place once per year. Starting June 21st, player registration will be open for a period of one week and the initial cost will be $0 so players can express interest in being placed on a travel team.
b.Hardship applications will be considered during this time. Hardship forms and instructions are available in multiple languages on our website: www.amityvillesoccer.com
3. Team Formation: Following our tryouts and open registration, with the assistance of our Director of Coaching, the club will create teams for the upcoming season. (Note: These teams will be subject to change based on players acceptance of roster spots.)
4. Payment Options: Families will be given the option to choose from various payment plans.
a. Based on parent feedback, each of these plans will include all registration, training, fees, 2 tournaments, and varied services the club is offering with the goal of being all inclusive price for the Fall, Winter, and Spring Programs.
b. The fee per team will vary based on the team's needs (Competitive - 2 Season Plan, Next Level, Premier).
c. Payment Options
1. 10 - Month Payment Plan (excluding December)
2. 3 Payment Seasonal Plan (Fall, Winter, Spring),
3. One-time payment for the full year.
* Note: Some division may offer additional payment plan options
5. Closure of Player Registration: Player registration will be closed on or about June 28, 2023, shortly thereafter players will receive an invitation via email to ACCEPT roster spot within 48 hours for the team they have been assigned.
6.Finalization of Teams: On or about July7, player teams will be finalized based on the number of players accepting positions on their teams and the commitment level of our volunteer parent coaches.
7. Enrollment in League Play: On July 17, the Amityville Soccer Travel Program Registrar will be provided a list of teams to enroll in league play, along with player information.
8. Late Registrations: Starting on August 1, Amityville Soccer will open late registration. During the remainder of the league year, each team will consider accepting additional players based on roster availability and a tryout process.
9. Additional Considerations:
a. All teams will have a paid team trainer assigned.
b. Existing players who do not register during Amityville Soccer's open registration period will not be considered during team formation, will be ineligible for financial assistance consideration, and will be subject to the rules of the late registration process.
